Holstering a Minigun or Gatling Laser is also a conundrum, as you'd probably have to attach the massive weapon to its respective pack, which would also look silly. Holstering an Incinerator isn't really possible unless you put it on your back somehow, and it would look ridiculous. Not only Spartans, but also Elites, ODST, Grunts and Brutes would holster/glue their weapons to themselves in different places, like the back and thigh, and it was never explained. Other games used the "glue" solution like the early Halo games. They could've made bolsters for outfits, having all of your holstering needs, but some outfits just wouldn't look right with them, and there would probably have a gap in between the player's back and the holster in the Fallout 3 and New Vegas engine, as holster mods always seem to get this problem. Making holsters for every single weapon would consume a lot of time, and people would complain about just having one holster for each type, for all guns. The two Incinerators would just completely disappear into "the æther". Funnily enough, even Fallout 3 and New Vegas had the disappearing problem, when it came to Miniguns, Incinerators, Heavy Incinerators and Gatling Lasers.įor Miniguns and Gatling Lasers, half of the guns disappeared leaving only the backpack.
